I want to see it all,
Step through the wall,
Break the bonds and see
what's there beyond the known.
I fear the horrors that could be,
I need to face the wonders on my own.

One first step through the wall
And I see it all.
All the wonders beyond what we see,
Beyond all we know could be.

I stare at the waves,
The roaring, roiling rendering of reality.
This is the sight that saves
Or damns
In a moment of realisation, what is to be
And what is to see
Is only a sample.



I came to see it all,
I stepped through the wall,
But I cannot cope,
What's here is beyond the known,
I face horrors beyond all hope,
But the wonders, they too have grown.

Universal eddies merge
And mix and boil, in manic surge
But stay distinct
I stay to stare, against all instinct.

I stare at the waves.
This is what  we dare not see, true reality
It is what we know cannot be, squirming vitality
Here  the aching  need to flee, screaming fertility
This we are  not meant to see, proud futility
